This is a topic that is very central to the atmosphere of Ultimate and it is a concept that people unfamiliar with the game need to understand in order to appreciate the beauty of Ultimate. These cover everything from foot violations, to injuries, to fouls and a whole host of other topics that are relatively meaningless without an solid understanding of "spirit of the game."

Ironically, I have never been more than a casual Ultimate player; and yet, I have worked to create an organization dedicated to the game. There are many reasons/excuses I could give to explain why I was never more than a casual player. For now, they matter little. Ultimate is a game I loved playing and a community I have become passionate about supporting. The point and purpose of this blog is two fold: first, it gives me an opportunity to explain why Ultimate has become such a large part of my life and second, to do what I can to convince others how important it is to spread this sport.
